Physiotherapy in Canary Wharf
Our Canary Wharf physiotherapists help you recover from injury, ease ongoing pain and get back to work, training and everyday life. You will be seen by an HCPC-registered physiotherapist at our clinic in the Port East Building, West India Quay.
A physio clinic for people who live and work in E14
Canary Wharf runs on long hours. Many of our physiotherapy patients sit at a screen all day, commute across London and still find time for the gym, a run along the river or a weekend match. Physiotherapy here is planned around that: clear goals, efficient sessions and a home programme you can keep up with.
Your physiotherapist will:
- find out what is really going on, by assessing how you move, where you are weak or stiff, and what triggers your pain
- treat the problem hands-on, using joint mobilisation, soft tissue work and, where useful, electrotherapy such as TENS or ultrasound
- build you back up with progressive strengthening and mobility exercises suited to your job and your sport
- show you how to stay well, with posture, workstation and training-load advice
Conditions our Canary Wharf physiotherapists treat
We see everything from fresh sports injuries to pain that has built up over years at a desk. Every plan starts with an accurate diagnosis and ends with you managing on your own.
Sports and exercise injuries
Ligament sprains, muscle tears, tendon problems and joint instability, including sprained ankles, knee pain and tennis elbow. We treat runners, gym-goers and recreational players as well as competitive athletes.
Desk-related and long-term pain
Persistent neck pain, back pain, shoulder pain and repetitive strain that builds up over months at a desk, plus sciatica and disc problems, managed with graded exercise and hands-on treatment.
Recovery after surgery
Structured, phased rehabilitation after orthopaedic procedures such as ACL reconstruction, meniscus repair and joint replacement, so you regain strength and confidence safely.
Physiotherapy with private medical insurance
Most private health insurance policies cover physiotherapy. Get an authorisation code from your insurer before your first appointment, then give us the code and your membership number when you book.
We are recognised by Bupa, AXA Health, Vitality, Aviva, WPA, Cigna and Simplyhealth. How insurance works with us.
Meet our Canary Wharf physiotherapists
All of our physiotherapists are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Ramadevi Chinthala holds a Master’s degree in physiotherapy. Nehaben Nai holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and has four years of clinical experience helping people recover movement and confidence.
Your physiotherapist works alongside our chiropractors and sports massage therapists in the same clinic, so your recovery plan can draw on all three when it helps.
Your first physiotherapy appointment
Your initial assessment lasts 45 minutes. We discuss your symptoms, medical history and goals, assess your posture, movement and strength, and explain what we have found. Most people also receive their first treatment and a few exercises in this session.
Follow-up appointments last 30 minutes. As a rough guide, recent injuries often need four to six sessions, while long-standing problems and post-surgery rehabilitation take longer. Your physiotherapist reviews progress at each visit and will tell you when you no longer need to come in.
Prices: initial assessment £95, follow-up £65. See all prices.

Canary Wharf physio FAQs
Can I get a physio appointment this week?
We can often see new patients at short notice. Book online to see the next available physiotherapy appointment, or call 020 7531 4444.
Do I need a GP referral for private physiotherapy?
No, you can book directly. Some insurers want a GP referral before they will pay, so check your policy if you are claiming.
Can you help me get back to running?
Yes. We assess what caused the injury, treat it, and then rebuild strength and running load gradually so you can return without it flaring up again.
Is physiotherapy or chiropractic better for back pain?
Both can help. Physiotherapy leans more on exercise-based rehabilitation and chiropractic on hands-on spinal treatment. Our guide to chiropractic vs physiotherapy explains the difference, and we can combine both at this clinic.
What should I bring to my first session?
Wear or bring loose clothing such as shorts or a vest top so we can assess the area properly. If you have scans, surgical notes or an insurance authorisation code, bring those too.
